"... advancing age and knee problems"

"I bought a Big Mountain RPM with Slope Simulator so I could maintain my fitness and correct stance in all conditions against advancing age and knee problems (51 years old). Looks like the best purchasing decision I have ever made.

P. Senior - Yorkshire

"... Brits are coming"

"After only 10 minutes of use, I knew I had made the best purchase possible to improve my ski technique, fitness & stamina. Fantastic – watch out Bodie Miller, the Brits are coming!

A. James - Staffordshire

"... prompt delivery"

"'Thank you so much for the advice and the prompt delivery of our Big Mountain and accessories.
We ordered this on Tuesday and it arrived at 09:15 Wednesday, three hours later it was built (lots to bits).

Children arrived home from school and I could not get them off it, “it’s better than the Play Station”
I have had to introduce a rota to stop the arguments and give my wife and me a chance.

Wish we had bought one years ago!!"

Ben Howe - Stamford, Lincolnshire

"I am a big fan"

"I am a big fan - as an older skier in my early 50s who still wants to go into the powder - I've found the machine fantastic for my fitness. I'm able to ski long stretches of off-piste without even thinking about it, whereas for the last few years it's always taken at least 4 or 5 days of skiing to do more than 10 or so linked turns without having to rest. The other thing I like is that if I'm not doing short swings very well, and feel myself sliding off the turns, I just think myself back into the exercise on the machine. And it really makes a big difference - my upper body gets still and the legs work properly under me."

Mrs Linda Fairbrother - Cambridge

"... skiing has improved dramatically ..."

"My skiing has improved dramatically from one skiing holiday to the next. This year I could handle every red run on the mountain. Last year I was mainly a blue skier with the occasional reluctant red. It really helped me link short turns which enables me to cope with steaper slopes."

Michael Peters - Devon

"... my fore-aft balance..."

"Apart from general benefits in strength I think the thing that I noticed most from skiing after using the machine for several weeks was the big improvement to my fore-aft balance. After many years skiing I now have a much better balance over my skis and although my tendency to lean back was never pronounced it happens much less now than before. This better position over my skis helped me ski more of the steeps more stylishly on our trip to Fernie BC this year."

Mr N Balls - Ayrshire

"... hardly any aches and pains."

"I only got my Skier's Edge 3 weeks before I embarked on my second season (2 weeks in Andorra). Even in that short space of time I felt it helped with my strength as I was able to cope comfortably with my 3 hour private lessons. I was surprised to find I had hardly any aches or pains."

Jane Austin - Bedfordshire

"... balance and reaction time ..."

"After the first holiday this year it was very noticeable that the normal aches and pains were not there after the first couple of days and we were straight into skiing. No longer thinking we’ll take it easy the first few days and gently increase activity. General balance and reaction time is greatly improved, particularly thru the bumps and in powder."

Mrs McCulloch - Montrose

"... the best 70th birthday present..."

"My Skiersedge was the best 70th. birthday present I could possible have given to myself and I hope to squeeze a few more years out of skiing to which I am addicted. After using Skiersedge for 20 minutes each day to my old LP's ( Judy Collins, John Denver etc.) I coped better on an off-piste introduction course and am continuing to use it during the summer. In fact, I felt much more secure jumping from rock to rock recently with grandchildren and so obvously it has its uses apart from skiing!"

Sylvia Bolton-Jones - Liverpool

"... what a difference to our fitness..."

"Both my wife and I have been using the Skier's Edge, and what a difference to our fitness it has made as well as improving our performance. 10 minutes per day is an amazing difference to your fitness when going off to Ski.
And having just bought a house in Austria, this will make our breaks even more enjoyable."

Mr Brian Hilton - Lincolnshire

"... I ski better and use less energy"

"I now have more stamina, particularly when the effort levels increase – attacking off-piste crust/crud and heavy snow for example. More stamina means more confidence, so I ski better and use less energy…
The Skiers Edge will be my primary off-season fitness aid through this summer."

David Pellatt - Kent

"... weight transfer between turns is more dynamic..."

"Eliminated strength imbalance between strong and weak leg, Overall weight transfer between turns is more dynamic – not so “up and down”. Try to fit in 1/2 hr every day, approx 1500 turns, sometimes difficult when your 4yr old keeps wanting to have a go with you!"

Simon Raeburn - Cheshire

"... unbelievable effect..."

"What a fantastic training aid! As an Instructor I have never before seen the unbelievable effect Skiers Edge has on both fitness and technique!"

Rob Robson - Harrow Rifle Corps

"... would not have been possible."

"I bought a Skier’s Edge as I badly damaged the ligaments in my left knee whilst skiing two years ago. having tried every other piece of gym equipment going trying to re-strengthen my knee with no success I’m very pleased having had the Skiers Edge for such a short time of using it that my knee is almost back to normal and plan to go back skiing in January - something I’m sure would not have been possible without it!"

Mrs C Barratt - Somerset

"... our most used piece of equipment ..."

"As a family we currently exercise most nights. By far our most used piece of equipment is the skiers edge, which combined with the LifeBeat and an Ipod is a great work out combination. The only problem is that we have had to buy other pieces of exercise equipment to keep the other family members occupied when the Skiers Edge is in use."

Mr Steve Johnson - Carmarthenshire

"... carving technique has improved immensely ..."

"Both my self and my friends that have used the machine have found that even with a small amount of use our carving technique has improved immensely and people I ski with who were far better than me all commented on the improvement especially as I am still right behind them at the end of a long days skiing fantastic very impressed with my purchase."

E P Cooper - Lincolnshire

"... replicate the skiing "feeling" ..."

"An excellent workout and well engineered to replicate the skiing “feeling”. My 11-year-old daughter who races, finds that the edge-to-edge rhythm has helped her smooth her carving of slalom turns."

Mr David Van de Wiel - Warwickshire

"... an effective training aid ..."

I was very pleased with the advice I received when enquiring about which model to choose and eventually settled on the Big Mountain with All mountain Master. Having placed the order I was very impressed with the speedy delivery (next day!).

I will happily recommend the skiers edge as an effective training aid to anyone thinking of a purchase and as I work at the local Dry Ski Slope I expect to recommend it quite a few times!

Stuart Marsom - Polegate
